Audition for Empire Theatre Company’s production of
Men On Boats!

Seeking 10 actors who identify as women for this contemporary play based on the exploration of the Colorado River. We especially encourage BIPOC actors to audition. Having women, particularly diverse populations of women, tell the story of this expedition raises interesting questions and conversations about history. Told with gentle humor, audiences will enjoy a wild ride down the Colorado River.

Show dates are March 12-16 at 7:30 and March 17 at 2 p.m. Rehearsals will begin the first week of February, most likely on weekday evenings, but some weekends may be scheduled, particularly the week of tech.

Auditions begin at 1 p.m.

While not required, we encourage actors to prepare a memorized one-minute monologue, any style. All actors will be asked to perform cold readings from the script.
