Empire is hiring an Operations Coordinator

Position Title: Operations Coordinator

Position Summary: Duties in the areas of Membership, Fundraising Event(s), Development and Coordination of Volunteers, House Management, and Office Duties

Membership: Work with the Membership Committee in achieving its goals and objectives, which may include communications, promotion, and administration of the organization's new membership program.

Fundraising Event(s): Work with the Fund Raising Committee in achieving its goals and objectives, which may include staffing planning meetings and helping to coordinate, promote and execute periodic special fundraising events.

Development and Coordination of Volunteers: Work with the Volunteer Committee in achieving its goals and objectives, which may include coordinating event volunteers and managing volunteer communications.

House Manage: Help to manage front of house for theater rentals and Empire-produced events.

Office Duties: Assist Executive Director with general office staffing and general office duties


Education and/or Experience
Prefer associate or bachelors degree with major course work in business administration, marketing, or related field, plus experience in customer service.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of modern office methods; skillful with computer programs for word processing, email, and databases, and willing to master member and donor software program(s)
Knowledge of basic principles of accounting
Ability to plan and coordinate assigned facility events
Skilled in multi-tasking and client relationship building
Ability to coordinate the work of theater volunteers
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to treat users, performers, promoters, and volunteers with respect and patience
Ability to work various hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Positive, professional demeanor


Reporting Relationship: Reports to Executive Director.

Salary commensurate with experience.
